    Given the dearth of employees at present coupled with the shifts in demographics this is a massive challenge. What we have found in our research is that the decrease in top-down governance corresponds well with increased feelings of inclusion and motivation. Our research points to the fact that increased slack is necessary in lower layers of the organization in order to facilitate innovation and increase motivation. There are interesting papers coming out on this now, such as papers looking into the link between agility and innovation performance. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.respol.2021.104423
