Starting in the mid 1990s the innovation practitioners started using the work on cognitive diveristy to enhance the thinking on diversity. While "visible" diversity is nice, efforts to innovate need to know how to use cognitive diversity and when it is better to not to use diversity... some problems are better solved by people who think alike. I am surprised the OECD has not considered this ... several useful theories and models https://kai.foundation/ I used the Kirton Adaption Innovation work with 5000 public servants in the 2000s. Today's generation of staff have no understanding of cognitive diversity.
